About The Position

Lumos & Associates is seeking an accomplished Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead their growing team of water/wastewater design professionals in northern California. This leadership position will be based out of the Roseville, California office. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting projects for water and wastewater clients, including water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, booster pump stations, lift stations, storage facilities, master plans, water/sewer modeling, and water/wastewater treatment facilities. This role also involves promoting and developing new and repeat business opportunities aligned with the company's strategies and goals.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California.
  • Strong technical background in water and wastewater design and construction management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve in responsible charge capacity for water and wastewater projects.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in public forums as well as interpersonal communication with team members and colleagues.
  • High level of creativity, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee several tasks/projects concurrently.
  • Strong business acumen necessary to maintain project budgets and develop new and repeat business with existing and new clients.
  • Vision to help grow and direct the water/wastewater technical focus group in close coordination with the Lumos Group Manager consistent with our strategic plan and goals.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with emphasis in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 8+ years of related water/wastewater engineering design and related management experience.
  • Experience working in and managing a team of technical staff in multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including public/client presentations.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record with 3 or less demerit points.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, oversee, and direct the project design team during the execution of projects in responsible charge.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and delegating responsibility to staff.
  • Provide technical review (QA/QC) of projects.
  • Serve as the primary contact with clients.
  • Provide leadership in the development of new business and promoting repeat and referral business.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, qualification statements, promotional materials.
