About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent.
  • Must have direct, hands-on experience managing projects that include NERC Compliance activities.
  • Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude.
  • Strong industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and external clients.
  • High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and highly responsive, internally and externally.
  • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Displays a high level of initiative and explores new opportunities while understanding the risk to the organization.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and additional software knowledge depending on specialty.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Some exposure/knowledge of power system modeling tools (PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF), substation protection, and renewables is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manages resources for NERC Compliance scopes.
  • Review Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the NERC Compliance scope, appropriate scope/fee for NERC Compliance deliverables for the proposal.
  • Manage resourcing for NERC Compliance deliverables.
  • Set up and lead kick-off meetings for NERC Compliance scope with internal technical resources.
  • Set up and lead regular meetings with external client to manage NERC Compliance scope.
  • Lead transition from project design deliverables to NERC Compliance deliverables.
  • Attend internal and external project calls to support technical discussions.
  • Set up a schedule for NERC Compliance deliverables, continue to communicate and update with customer and internal resources.
  • Set up an initial Request for Information (RFI) and ensure that technical resources are updating accordingly and continue to manage them with the client as well as internal resources.
  • Ensure that internal resources are staying on schedule and that clients are providing information on time so deadlines can be met.
  • Attend potential customer meetings and speak to NERC Compliance services that Ulteig offers.
  • Track comments received from customers and responses from internal resources.
  • Track evolving NERC Compliance standards and advise on how it affects Ulteig deliverables and clients’ projects.
  • Ensure that the Quality Check process is followed and that proper PE reviews are conducted.
  • Drive proactive conversations about change orders, budgets, and project delays, etc.
  • Additional duties may include tasks beyond what is listed, such as special projects, assisting colleagues, or new initiatives. A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support team efforts enhances collaboration and growth opportunities.
