Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 2 years of related professional experience, or 6 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Participation in continuing education and professional development programs.
  • Potential leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge in the specific field of the project.
  • Knowledge of project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
  • Understanding of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.
  • An understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment.
  • Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Land Surveyor’s License is preferred
  • Master’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry)

Responsibilities

  • Successful management of assigned projects.
  • Assisting in marketing and client development.
  • Ensuring technical quality, profitability, and schedule adherence.
  • Coordinating project staff.
  • Managing client communications.
  • Scoping and negotiating scopes and fees.
  • Client follow-up, billing, and collections.
  • Maintaining superior client relationships.
  • Preparing the scope of services, detailed project budget, and contract for review and approval.
  • Coordinating project scheduling.
  • Conducting “kick-off” and interim project status meetings.
  • Completing each project on time and on budget.
  • Monitoring project schedules and budgets.
  • Leading formal Project Reviews.
  • Ensuring QA/QC reviews are completed.
  • Determining if a contract needs to be amended and seeking approval for changes in budget or scope.
  • Serving as primary client contact for selected projects.
  • Monitoring project adherence to company standards, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance specifications and CADD standards.
  • Assisting in documenting the performance of project team members through Project Staff Reviews.
  • Communicating significant performance issues to team members and Practice Leader.
