The Project Manager IV (PM IV) serves in a key capacity within the HHS IT Project Management Office (PMO), performing advanced project management work across assignments with varied complexity. The role skillfully manages information technology projects so approved scope is completed as scheduled, within approved funding, and consistent with established requirements. The PM IV applies sound discretion, appropriate initiative, and independent decision-making while leading work and using broad project management knowledge to support successful results. The PM IV connects IT project teams with stakeholders throughout the organization and with external partners. Working across teams and divisions, the role consults with stakeholders, negotiates priorities, and provides guidance as proposals and projects move from initial concept through delivered value. In alignment with IT PMO standards, responsibilities include managing scope, schedules, and budgets; preparing status information; reviewing project timelines; maintaining project records; coordinating with stakeholders; and completing other related work. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, relationship-focused, an effective communicator, and able to lead problem solving in complex organizational environments. This position leads IT staff and partners across HHS IT to produce outcomes and is located in the Austin office.
