Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of network-related projects within an organization. The role focuses on managing and coordinating the network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and services. Job Summary: The Infrastructure Project Manager will manage and lead the implementation of network projects for Lumexa Imaging ensuring the design, installation, and operation of network systems are completed on time, within scope, and according to technical specifications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing network-related projects (e.g., LAN, WAN, data centers, or cloud network services).
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of network architecture, protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and provide solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in project management (PMP, Prince2, etc.).
  • Network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+).
  • Experience with cloud networks and related technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans to guide all network-related initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including network engineers, system administrators, vendors, and other technical resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify project risks and obstacles, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered within budget and make recommendations for resource allocation and optimization.
  • Regularly update stakeholders, executives, and clients on project progress, issues, and solutions. Maintain clear communication regarding milestones and deliverables.
  • Work closely with external vendors for procurement, installation, and support of network systems. Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor performance aligns with project goals.
  • Ensure that all network infrastructure is designed, implemented, and tested according to the highest standards of quality and security.
  • Maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and status updates. Ensure all technical and project-related documents are complete and accessible.
  • Provide post-project support, including troubleshooting and resolution of network-related issues that arise after implementation.
