About The Position

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company with approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations, is seeking a Project Manager (Industrial Plastics/HDPE) to join their team. This role focuses on Industrial EPC HDPE projects. While the position is office-based in La Porte, TX, remote work may be considered for qualified candidates outside the local commuting area. Requirements

  • Experience in Industrial Inside Sales or Project Management
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years preferred
  • Previous experience and/or knowledge of EPC business preferred
  • Knowledge of Industrial Plastics materials and processes
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and focus on quality output
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and evaluate commercial and technical specifications
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PDF software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with ability to coordinate several major activities simultaneously
  • Customer service oriented with excellent leadership and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of the organization
  • Team player with the aptitude for multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and building relationships with team members, vendors and customers

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget
  • Recommend products and services that fit well with clients' business needs
  • Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project
  • Establish and maintain effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems and minimize delays
  • Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, requirements, and perform calculations
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment
  • Provide a high level of assistance to program/project managers to ensure projects are carried out according to plan
