About The Position

The Project Manager III role involves evaluating the requirements of the scope of work, analyzing resources, and developing and maintaining project schedules for projects. This position requires close collaboration with internal and/or external teams to understand project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines to ensure project success. The role also includes examining resource requirements and availability, creating project plans, timelines, and milestone achievements, and ensuring adherence to these plans. Key responsibilities include measuring and monitoring project performance, creating and reviewing project status reports, coordinating project team efforts, initiating corrective actions, ensuring appropriate project visibility and communication, collecting post-project feedback for improvement, and ensuring project documents are complete and stored appropriately. The role also emphasizes maintaining a safe work area, following safety and ergonomic standards, and performing comparable duties as needed. A significant aspect of the role is learning, understanding, and promoting the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards, contributing to projects and teams in an above-average manner, and liaising between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders. The Project Manager III will utilize appropriate tools for planning project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines, plan meetings to align the project team, manage complex projects from planning through delivery, perform risk assessments, and contribute to strategic decisions with knowledge of the business side. The role also serves as the division expert on project management best practices, tools, and methodologies, demonstrating outstanding contribution and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
  • 5-7 years related experience, or experience in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal (and/or external) teams to understand the scope of work, goals, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project success.
  • Examine resource requirements and availability needed for project.
  • Create project plans, timelines, and milestone achievements.
  • Ensures adherence to project plans and timelines to be met by internal and external resources.
  • Measure and monitor project performance.
  • Create and review project status reports.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the project team through detailed planning efforts.
  • Initiates corrective actions as necessary as they relate to the project.
  • Ensure appropriate visibility and communication of the project.
  • Collect post-project feedback to look for issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure that all project documents are complete and stored appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Contributes to projects and teams in an above average manner.
  • Liaises between project members, cross functional teams, external vendors and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, schedule, requirements, cost and meeting plans are communicated.
  • Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones and deadlines.
  • Plans meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track tasks.
  • Manages complex projects from planning through delivery.
  • Understand and perform risk assessment throughout the project life cycle.
  • Has knowledge of the business side and contributes to strategic decisions.
  • Serve as the division expert on project management best practices, tools, and methodologies.
