About The Position

The Project Manager III will lead project teams, mentor others, and develop, organize, lead, and participate in teams both internally and externally. This role involves developing, monitoring, and achieving the scope, budget, and schedule of single or multiple projects and/or project portfolios of medium to high complexity. The position also contributes to building organizational capabilities, conducting strategic planning, and developing departmental plans. The Project Manager III will incorporate strategic master facility plan information into project development, lead the design & construction process as the owner representative, and develop and monitor benchmarking and performance indicators. Additionally, they will produce, obtain, and organize project documentation, develop, set, monitor, and achieve goals, and procure and manage external resources. The role requires applying current design, construction, and project management methodologies and techniques, following legal and contractual processes, leveraging technology to support project delivery, developing and implementing design standards, and evaluating and interpreting design documents. The position may also involve other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Health Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline with 4 years of experience in healthcare or academic design and construction required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Effectively and thoroughly plan, organize and prioritize
  • Proficient use project management technologies; MS Office, PDF editors, scheduling applications, internet and collaboration platforms
  • Knowledge of authorities having jurisdiction and their requirements
  • Familiar with typical design and construction contract instruments and legal considerations
  • Understand process improvement fundamentals and their application
  • Take initiative and works independently but also collaboratively
  • Knowledge of the healthcare and research environment to support effective healthcare and research delivery

  • The Center for Health Design Evidence-Based Accreditation and Certification, and/or The American Society of Healthcare Engineers Certified Healthcare Constructor preferred
