Working within the Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center’s Project Management Office ( IIRC PMO ), the IIRC Project Manager II manages a portfolio of complex projects. The IIRC PMO leads project teams that include cross-functional Center groups such as the IIRC Clinical Research Operations Team, Shared Resources, Therapeutic Products Program, and Clinical Research Support, to drive successful execution of translational research partnerships across these programs. The PM II manages internal and external collaborations across multiple departments and workgroups to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met in an efficient manner. This position requires flexibility in a rapidly changing environment, as well as excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of complex clinical trials and clinical research opportunities from early partnerships to trial open.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum seven years related project/study management experience or relevant experience in a research or healthcare setting.
  • Grant and contract experience.
  • Strong supervisory skills and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create timelines and track trial implementation progress for financial, contractual, regulatory, and clinical activities.
  • Serve as project/study liaison, representing the project/study to other Center departments, funding sources, affiliated individuals or institutions, and outside organizations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and track action items and deliverables.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations.
  • Triage project issues and ensure solutions are implemented.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to determine prioritization of competing activities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with faculty members, project sponsors, research administration, administrative departments and peers.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying size as assigned.
