About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager II – Nuclear Projects position for our client. This role involves leading and managing complex, multidiscipline nuclear projects typically under $10M, overseeing the full project lifecycle including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout. The position also includes managing outage and on-line work activities such as refueling, forced outages, and maintenance coordination. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and controlling project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance tracking, as well as building and maintaining detailed schedules including critical path, risk, and resource loading. This role requires directing project teams of 10+ members, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and managing vendors, contractors, procurement activities, and contract execution. Ensuring safe, high-quality, compliant execution of all project activities, resolving schedule conflicts, delays, and emergent execution issues, and preparing and presenting project status updates to senior leadership are also key duties.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team management in complex technical environments
  • Advanced project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control capabilities
  • Expertise in outage planning, maintenance coordination, and execution
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear/regulated industry standards, codes, and compliance
  • Risk management, human performance improvement, and error reduction methods
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools and systems
  • 12–18+ years project management experience in regulated or industrial environments (based on education level)
  • Proven experience managing large-scale maintenance, outage, or construction projects
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and vendor management
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 5 years nuclear industry experience preferred
  • Background in commercial nuclear plant systems, upgrades, or maintenance strongly preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • PMP or Construction Management certification desired
  • Nuclear operations certification (RO/SRO) a plus
