About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager I – Nuclear Projects position for our client. This role involves leading and managing small to medium-sized capital projects, including refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance activities. The Project Manager will oversee project planning, scheduling, execution, cost control, and performance monitoring with minimal oversight. They will lead project teams of 5–10 members, ensuring safe, high-quality, on-schedule, and within-budget delivery. Responsibilities include managing project budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting in coordination with finance and project controls, directing outage-related work execution, identifying and resolving schedule conflicts, developing long-range project plans, managing contracts and vendors, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong project management experience in complex, regulated environments (nuclear or heavy industry preferred)
  • Expertise in outage management, maintenance execution, and on-line work management
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and project financial management
  • Knowledge of human performance improvement and error reduction methodologies
  • Vendor, contract, and stakeholder management capability
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Project Management certification required
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage small to medium-sized capital projects, including refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance activities
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, execution, cost control, and performance monitoring with minimal oversight
  • Lead project teams of 5–10 members, ensuring safe, high-quality, on-schedule, and within-budget delivery
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting in coordination with finance and project controls
  • Direct outage-related work execution including work packages, procurement, ALARA planning, safety compliance, and resource loading
  • Identify and resolve schedule conflicts, delays, and execution risks
  • Develop and maintain long-range project plans and strategies
  • Manage contracts, vendors, and external service providers
  • Provide regular written and verbal updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership
