About The Position

At NuuCo Electric, we don’t just build systems—we power possibility. As a full-service electrical contractor, we bring skill, safety, and innovation to every project we touch. Whether it's large-scale construction or precision service work, we take pride in doing it right the first time. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for team players who are wired for excellence. If you're ready to join a company that values craftsmanship, collaboration, and long-term opportunity—let’s talk. We’re hiring a Project Manager II to lead a high-impact transportation infrastructure project along a major state route in the South Puget Sound region. This role is built for someone who knows how to run complex work in active corridors: You’ll take full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships while leading project teams and coordinating with public agencies, utilities, and field operations. If you’ve managed infrastructure or DOT-related projects and are ready to step into a visible, high-accountability role, this is a strong opportunity to lead from the front.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of construction experience
  • Proven experience managing infrastructure, transportation, or DOT-related projects
  • Background with an electrical contractor (EC) or industrial electrical scope preferred
  • Experience working in or alongside active roadways, utilities, or public works projects is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (experience can substitute)
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to independently lead projects
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance, schedules, and client relationships
  • Confident decision-maker who communicates clearly with field teams and leadership
  • Ability to navigate complexity, shifting priorities, and stakeholder demands
  • Strong leadership presence with a focus on accountability and results
  • Proficiency with construction and project management software

Responsibilities

  • Lead a major transportation infrastructure project from preconstruction through closeout
  • Own project financials including forecasting, cost control, and overall profitability
  • Develop and actively manage project schedules, adjusting for field conditions and constraints
  • Coordinate with DOT agencies, inspectors, and stakeholders in active roadway environments
  • Drive change management, risk mitigation, and issue resolution in real time
  • Partner closely with the Safety Manager to ensure safe execution in high-traffic conditions
  • Lead weekly project and owner meetings with clear, direct communication
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Oversee and mentor Project Engineers and support staff
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with contract documents and specifications
