About The Position

The Project Manager II, Continuous Improvement is part of Lennar’s Operational Excellence (OpEx) team within the Lennar Technology Group (LTG). The role partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify, drive, and sustain process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, scalability, transparency, and delivery effectiveness. The OpEx team aims to solve process problems quickly while building a repeatable improvement capability. This cross-trained team member rotates among Process & Lean, Performance & CI, and Standards & Sustainment. Each improvement cycle uses all three disciplines so that improvements are diagnosed, measured, and standardized. The role also supports team capability and scalability by refining the improvement method, cross-training teammates, maintaining team resources, and contributing to intake, communications, and longer-term enablement.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Process Improvement, Operational Excellence, PMO, or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on Lean experience, demonstrated through Lean or Six Sigma certification or by leading Kaizen events, process mapping, and root-cause analysis.
  • Working-level skill in facilitation and future-state design; data analysis, baselining, and before-and-after validation; and SOP authoring, training, and sustainment.
  • Experience quantifying benefits and distinguishing hard cost, cost avoidance, and capacity; Finance validation experience is ideal.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology organizations and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to deliver within a time-boxed cycle, manage more than one initiative at a time, and escalate using defined triggers.
  • Willingness to cross-train, coach others, and rotate roles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification; Green Belt or higher is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Lucid, GitHub, ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Power BI.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, Agile, or other continuous-improvement certifications.
  • Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methods.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate process-mapping sessions, Kaizen bursts, and workshops with process owners and cross-functional teams, including business, technology, architecture, PMO, testing, and vendors.
  • Document current-state and future-state workflows, finalize future-state processes, and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and dependencies affecting delivery outcomes.
  • Analyze operational data to establish baselines, perform root-cause analysis, and prioritize fixes.
  • Classify candidate savings as hard cost, cost avoidance, or capacity so Finance can validate results; address metrics without data sources by instrumenting a proxy or reclassifying them as qualitative.
  • Validate improvements with before-and-after data and define measurement strategies and dashboard requirements, partnering with BI resources on executive-level views.
  • Turn validated improvements into SOPs and publish them to the Process Governance & Standards library.
  • Train process owners, drive adoption of new processes and tools, and schedule and run sustainment reviews.
  • Own and maintain the CI team repository, including templates, playbooks, engagement artifacts, and institutional knowledge.
  • Rotate through all three lead roles and cross-train teammates to prevent single points of failure.
  • Document and refine the improvement-cycle method after each engagement.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with process owners and SMEs during an improvement cycle; escalate missing or unwilling process owners, unresolved cross-functional conflicts, decisions beyond team authority, and repeatedly delayed stakeholder sessions to the OpEx Manager.
  • Support the OpEx Manager with wins communication, visibility, and intake by contributing results, findings, and recommendations to inform leadership backlog prioritization.
  • Identify digitization or automation needs and route them to the Long-Term Project framework.
  • Balance cycle work with business-as-usual responsibilities within the team’s protected-time commitments.
  • Contribute to longer-term enablement, including a process-owner certification ladder and an LTG community of practice.
