About The Position

The Project Manager II will manage multiple improvement projects, process improvement projects, and other business-related initiatives from initiation through completion. This role involves tracking progress, managing cross-functional plans, and ensuring projects are completed within deadlines and in compliance with the service plan. The position also includes overseeing sample process flow, maintaining data integrity, managing the CAPEX budget, and fostering continuous improvement within the clinical sciences team. Proactive risk identification, documentation, and stakeholder engagement are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Life Sciences.
  • 2-5 years of experience in project management within the diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
  • Experience leading product development or process improvement projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite environment.
  • Experience with projects or business initiatives that require rapid activity achievement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work through unknowns and ambiguity with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing diverse, cross-functional stakeholders.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple small and large improvement projects, process improvement projects, and other business-related initiatives from initiation through completion.
  • Track progress of activities and manage execution of cross-functional plans.
  • Facilitate cross-functional interactions to ensure projects are completed within deadlines and in compliance with the service plan.
  • Oversee and guide day-to-day activities of sample process flow and accurate reporting of results.
  • Maintain data integrity of resource trackers and capacity charts, ensuring projects align with best practices.
  • Manage the CAPEX budget, update and maintain dashboards, and communicate project reports to stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices within the clinical sciences team and foster continuous improvement through knowledge exchange.
  • Proactively identify project risks, potential bottlenecks, or delays while performing critical path analysis.
  • Maintain clear documentation of project requirements and conduct lessons learned sessions to drive future improvement.
  • Engage, influence, and manage a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Drive projects and products from original concept through completion by developing detailed work plans, schedules, and resource planning.
  • Translate project needs into tangible outcomes to enable the organization to use energy and time effectively.
