As a Project Manager I within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, Cleveland, OH or Birmingham AL. The Project Manager I supports the delivery of projects within the Asset Management Group (AMG) by assisting with planning, execution, tracking, and reporting activities. This role is ideal for an early-career project manager who has foundational project management experience, exposure to financial services, and is developing proficiency with standard PM tools, methodologies, and budget forecasting.

Requirements

  • General project management or project coordination experience
  • Some experience with budget forecasting or financial tracking in a project environment
  • Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery concepts and workflows
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment
  • University / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end project delivery, including scope definition, schedules, milestones, and risk tracking
  • Assist with budget forecasting, project financial tracking, and variance reporting
  • Maintain project plans, dashboards, and documentation using tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams and stakeholders within the AMG line of business
  • Track project progress and escalate risks or issues as appropriate
  • Prepare status reports, meeting materials, and project documentation
  • Follow established project management standards, processes, and governance frameworks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery practices within AMG
  • Manages single project from original concept through final implementation and post-project assessment.
  • Accountable for meeting project objectives within established timeframes.
  • Plans and schedules project timeliness and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Accountable to ensure project team is resourced as needed.
  • Partners with project team members to assign tasks, direct activities, and control project execution.
  • Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Tracks and reports progress (management information system).
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
