About The Position

Step into a high-visibility role supporting the execution of custom-engineered Medium Voltage (MV) Motors and Drives projects for industrial customers across North America and globally. As a Project Manager I, you will serve as the single point of contact for assigned customer orders, leading projects from kickoff through final acceptance. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career project managers or technically inclined professionals looking to grow into complex engineered equipment project leadership in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.

Requirements

  • 2–8 years of experience in project management or related roles within an industrial or engineering environment
  • Experience managing or supporting projects involving: Medium Voltage Motors, Adjustable Speed Drives, Industrial electrical or mechanical equipment
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with: Incoterms and commercial contract terms
  • Familiarity with Industry standards such as: API 541 / API 547, IEEE 841 for MV motors
  • Basic understanding of: Medium Voltage Motors, Medium Voltage Adjustable Speed Drives
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools
  • ERP systems
  • CRM tools

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of engineered equipment orders (MV motors and adjustable speed drives) from order entry to final acceptance
  • Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements, internal commitments, and execution plans
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor and customer advocate
  • Provide regular status updates, reporting, and communication to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate activities across: Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales / Commercial teams
  • Assemble and lead project teams across multiple departments and external partners
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, costs, and margins
  • Approve project-related expenditures within authorized scope
  • Identify risks and proactively manage cost impacts
  • Review project documentation to ensure alignment with customer Purchase Orders and technical requirements
  • Support and participate in factory acceptance tests (FATs) and witnessed testing
  • Apply understanding of commercial terms (Incoterms), invoicing, and progress payments (JSOX awareness)
  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution processes and communication workflows
  • Support best practices in project management and order execution
