About The Position

This role involves managing construction projects from the initial planning and estimating phases through to completion. Responsibilities include overseeing subcontractor procurement, contracts, and project budgets, preparing estimates, pricing updates, and change orders. The position requires developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, monitoring progress, and addressing any schedule or cost impacts. Regular site visits are necessary to ensure safety, quality, and performance. The Project Manager will coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, manage permitting, inspections, and compliance requirements, and lead meetings while maintaining accurate project documentation. Financial tracking, including billing and cost control, is crucial, as is identifying risks and implementing solutions. Support for safety, quality, and environmental initiatives is expected. Project Manager II level will also mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction practices
  • Experience with scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and subcontract management
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work on active job sites, including climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • For PM I: 4–7 years of project management experience with a degree or 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree
  • For PM II: 7–10 years of project management experience with a degree or 15+ years of relevant experience without a degree
  • Experience coordinating subcontracted and/or self-performed work
  • Experience with design/build delivery, value engineering, and project controls (PM II)
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to government projects is a plus
  • Strong background in government or negotiated contracts preferred (PM II)
  • Experience with government construction projects
  • Familiarity with IDIQ, JOC, design/build, and fast-track delivery methods
  • Line-item estimating experience
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • USACE/NAVFAC CQC certification (a plus)
  • Professional certifications such as AC, CPC, or PE
