About The Position

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is seeking qualified candidates to fill an open Project Manager I - Integrated Resource Plan position within its Resource Planning Analytics team. This role directs and manages the processes and activities of projects of limited scope, potentially with guidance from senior staff. The Project Manager I will manage and execute projects with a clearly defined scope of work, involving multiple internal and external customers. This includes coordinating and communicating with departments such as Engineering, Real Estate, Environmental, Permitting, System Planning, and Energy Resources, and may involve drafting and monitoring simple contracts. The position upholds safety compliance standards and promotes a culture of total safety, conducting business honestly, ethically, and in accordance with core values and Code of Conduct, while ensuring regulatory compliance. This job is considered "safety sensitive" and is subject to pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • At least two years relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in scheduling, estimating, accounting and finance principles.
  • Customer-oriented, a positive, team-oriented and collaborative attitude, flexibility, an understanding of the business issues driving the need for the project, and solid work ethic are expected.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
  • Experience managing small projects or programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates resources, provides oversight and direction to team members.
  • Assembles and leads multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Identifies the scope of an assigned project and decides logical action to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Facilitates communication between across internal departments.
  • Responds to internal and external feedback as it relates to their project scope and works with appropriate parties for resolution.
  • Applies general rules, standards and guidelines for file documentation in preparation for future litigation.
  • Develop general understanding for analytical modeling framework, identify key assumptions and inputs that may impact other models and analytical work.
  • Write, edit, and/or review portions of the ISP filing document as appropriate.
  • Prepares material as it relates to your projects for internal and external meeting as appropriate.
  • Reports on project and program progress as directed.
  • Responsible for schedule and budget development, management and forecasting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
