About The Position
Reporting directly to County Architect, responsible for developing, managing, and executing various minor construction projects for the Williamson County Facilities Management Department. Level I of III in Project Managers.
Requirements
- Two (2) years post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of construction related experience
- Knowledge of Building Systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, automation, security, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite and related applications
- Valid driver’s license (Required within thirty (30) days of employment)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Ten (10) years of Construction related experience
Responsibilities
- Develops and manages budgets, schedules, work plans and resource requirements for various construction projects
- Develops construction solicitations and evaluates proposals and qualifications
- Develops construction contracts and manages contract compliance by contractors
- Monitors and supervises project quality control efforts and deliverables to ensure project is completed efficiently and effectively
- Visits construction worksites and evaluates progress
- Prepares and reviews reports related to warranty claims and assists with catastrophic insurance claims
- Serves as department liaison with vendors, agencies, contractors, and the public regarding facility inquiries
- Attends all trainings and meeting as required
- Performs special duties as assigned
