About The Position

This role is for a Project Manager, Grounds Management at Park, focusing on landscape maintenance excellence and seasonal snow operations. The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for clients, responsible for client relationship management, quoting, contract support, and site oversight to ensure efficient and safe field operations. This involves collaborating with field teams to resolve operational challenges and maintain project financial health. During winter months (November-April), the role shifts to overseeing a snow and ice management division, with potentially weather-dependent hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Strong regulatory awareness of workplace safety requirements, compliance standards, and operational best practices for landscaping and commercial snow removal.
  • Understanding of documentation requirements for regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and management software (e.g., Google Workspace, Aspire, SiteDocs, ADP, QuickBooks, or similar operational/financial platforms).
  • Proven skill in estimating, quoting work, and managing client expectations.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in landscape maintenance, snow services, or client account management.
  • Ability to safely navigate active construction sites, uneven terrain, inclines, and excavations.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work flexibly in diverse weather conditions (heat, rain, snow).

Nice To Haves

  • A diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience in Landscaping, Horticulture, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Industry certifications like PMP or safety credentials are a major asset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors, responding to requests, preparing quotes for new work, upselling services, and managing contract renewals.
  • Conduct routine site walkthroughs to track costs and identify service enhancements.
  • Build and adapt crew schedules for maintenance teams and Fertilizer/Weed Spray Technicians.
  • Ensure all field work aligns with company and client standards, proactively troubleshooting operational issues alongside the field crews.
  • Approve daily time tracking, dispatch work tickets, monitor labor costs/profitability, and coordinate with the operations administrator for seamless billing.
  • Procure necessary project materials and equipment.
  • Dedicate approximately 25% of time to strategic growth initiatives and business development.
  • Oversee a designated seasonal division (e.g., Sidewalks, Parking Lots, or Special Projects) during winter months for snow and ice management.
