About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, and success of a government security contract involving both armed and unarmed security personnel. This position oversees supervisors and more than 50+ officers assigned to the contract and serves as the primary liaison between the company and government representatives. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all contractual obligations are met, maintaining staffing levels, managing schedules, enforcing standards, and ensuring operational excellence across the contract.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Manager experience in security operations, government contracting, law enforcement, military, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years managing supervisors and large teams in a security environment
  • Experience managing armed and unarmed security personnel
  • Strong knowledge of government security contracts, staffing, scheduling, compliance, and performance metrics
  • Experience conducting investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee performance management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and operational issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and client management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and report writing
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check and meet all government contract requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Active security license and firearms qualifications preferred
  • Military, law enforcement, or prior government contract experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations for armed and unarmed security personnel assigned to the government facility
  • Manage, coach, and supervise site supervisors and 30+ security officers
  • Ensure all officers maintain compliance with licensing, certifications, uniforms, equipment, and post requirements
  • Develop and maintain schedules to ensure full staffing coverage for all shifts and posts
  • Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and training for new officers
  • Conduct inspections to ensure officers are properly uniformed, equipped, and performing duties according to post orders and company standards
  • Monitor and track equipment inventory including uniforms, radios, keys, firearms, less-lethal equipment, and other assigned items
  • Meet regularly with government clients and serve as the primary liaison between the organization and government representatives
  • Respond to client concerns, incidents, emergencies, and staffing issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare and submit monthly operational reports, incident summaries, staffing reports, training records, and other contract-required documentation
  • Conduct investigations into employee misconduct, policy violations, and performance concerns
  • Issue disciplinary action, corrective action plans, and performance improvement measures when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, post orders, and government regulations
  • Review incident reports, daily activity reports, and supervisor logs for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor overtime, labor costs, scheduling efficiency, and contract profitability
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and contract performance evaluations
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with client representatives, local law enforcement, and company leadership
  • Ensure the contract remains fully staffed, compliant, and operationally successful at all times
  • Be available for on-call support after hours, weekends, holidays, and emergencies as needed
