About The Position

As a Global Product Certification Project Manager (Financial Operations), you will provide financial and operational leadership for certification and compliance programs that enable the successful global deployment and market access of Rockwell Automation products. You will manage the financial execution and day-to-day operational processes supporting certification activities, including budget planning, purchase order management, invoice processing, vendor coordination, cost tracking, and financial reporting. You will serve as a key liaison between Global Product Certification, Finance, Procurement, Business Units, and external certification partners to ensure certification investments are executed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with business objectives. You will report to the Manager of Global Product Certification and will work hybrid in Milwaukee, WI.

  • Five or more years of experience supporting project financial management, budgeting, procurement, or operational program management.
  • Minimum three years of experience in financial administration, budget management, accounting operations, procurement, project coordination, or related disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise financial systems, purchasing processes, and invoice management practices.
  • Experience working within SAP, SAP Project Systems, Ariba, or comparable enterprise resource planning platforms.
  • Knowledge of corporate purchasing, vendor management, and accounts payable processes.
  • Proven ability to coordinate activities across multiple functional teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Project management experience delivering initiatives across complex organizations.
  • PMP, CAPM, CPA, or other project management or financial management certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage certification program budgets and financial forecasts across multiple projects, business units, and product portfolios.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure certification costs are properly allocated to the appropriate business unit, project, cost center, or profit center.
  • Support annual budget planning activities and provide financial visibility for certification investments and forecasts.
  • Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to certification leadership and stakeholders.
  • Create and manage shopping carts, blanket purchase orders, and multi-use purchase orders supporting certification activities.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Finance teams to ensure PO creation, approval, and maintenance.
  • Verify invoices are assigned to the appropriate purchase orders and funding sources.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of cost centers, profit centers, and related financial structures as needed.
  • Manage certification-related invoices from receipt through payment completion.
  • Ensure goods receipts are accurately entered to facilitate invoice payment processing.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment delays, and purchasing issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for certification vendors regarding invoicing and payment status.
  • Coordinate vendor information updates and support vendor master data maintenance within SAP and associated business systems.
  • Develop and maintain project tracking mechanisms for certification expenditures, commitments, and vendor services.
  • Provide operational support for certification projects by coordinating financial activities, procurement actions, and vendor engagement.
  • Support project managers and technical leads in tracking deliverables, commitments, and financial milestones.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation supporting financial audits and compliance reviews.
  • Partner with Global Product Certification engineers, project managers, finance teams, procurement specialists, and business unit leaders to support program execution.
  • Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external certification organizations regarding commercial and financial matters.
  • Support leadership reviews through preparation of financial summaries, budget updates, and operational performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows, invoice management, procurement processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standardized procedures and work instructions supporting certification financial management.
  • Drive process improvements through lessons learned, metrics, automation opportunities, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews related to certification expenditures and vendor management activities.
