About The Position

The Gift Card Project Manager is responsible for developing implementation plans for a portfolio of projects that drive The Home Depot Gift Card sales. The Project Manager will manage multiple projects at the Program level, from Discovery through to Delivery. In addition to showing innovative thought leadership, you will be required to utilize core project management, communication, presentation and creative problem solving skills to deliver projects on time.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • 4-6 years of Project Management experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proven track record of execution.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent strategic and creative skills.
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytically with demonstrated financial and business planning skills.
  • Influential; practiced in negotiating with others in ways that result in win-win outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong technical background and comfortable talking with IT
  • Understanding of emerging commerce technologies in Mobile and Social
  • E-commerce knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Business Project Manager for projects supporting Gift Card Strategic Initiatives. Responsibilities may include vendor onboarding and implementation, ongoing product management, sales analysis, assessing IT production issues, and new product development.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure projects are delivered on-time.
  • Work with cross-functional, cross-company project teams.
  • Help the Business Owner(s) define and articulate project strategy and objectives, scope and business requirements.
  • Think strategically, creatively - and with a customer focus - to make recommendations regarding execution strategies and potential solutions.
  • Ensure all impacted stakeholders are engaged, and manage cross-functional resources to support project execution.
  • Analyze and manage risks and interdependencies within and across Program projects/systems/resources, and formulate plausible solutions/contingency plans in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Effectively present and communicate project strategies, statuses, risks and key decisions within project teams, and stakeholder meetings.
