About The Position

Requirements

Degree in Engineering from an accredited university program and capable of obtaining either Engineer-in-training or Professional Engineer designation in Yukon Territory
Experience designing infrastructure from pre-feasibility to preliminary design and/or constructing infrastructure projects
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams to execute projects
Experience using financial analysis and quantitative and qualitative information to draw conclusions
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada for any employer without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Experience in utility energy planning would be an asset

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and development of long-term generation resources, primarily hydro and thermal generation, from pre-feasibility through preliminary design.
Develop electricity supply plans that identify the generation and transmission resources needed to support the Yukon's future.
Lead lifecycle analyses and business case development that inform investment in existing and new generation and transmission resources.
Help advance new generation projects that support growth and the transition to sustainable energy solutions across the Yukon.
