About The Position

Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market. We provide trade execution, clearing, custody and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms. The Scrum Master will be responsible for successful planning and execution of cross-functional initiatives that define and deliver solutions to meet business needs, tackle business problems and develop new service and product offerings to our clients. The ideal candidate is an adaptable professional, with an entrepreneurial mindset, a high degree of initiative; comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Completed Post-secondary Degree (University/College) or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of Project Management/Scrum Master experience in the financial industry, preferably within Wealth
  • Strong experience in a project delivery environment and knowledge of various frameworks: Waterfall, Hybrid, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • PMP/Agile/SAFe/Scrum Certifications
  • Demonstrated depth of experience in helping organizations and teams apply Scrum effectively, addressing impediments, addressing issues and risks proactively and driving delivery in line with the Scrum Master accountabilities.
  • Proven ability to work with Product Owners to ensure clear product goals and well‑maintained product backlogs that enable the team to understand and deliver valuable increments.
  • Data driven with a strong understanding of Scrum’s empirical foundation, using burn-down charts, velocity tracking, transparency, inspection, and adaptation to help teams regularly assess progress and adjust their work.
  • Proven experience delivering complex initiatives in structured, plan‑driven environments with phase-gated planning, requirements alignment, clear milestones and critical path, and disciplined scope, schedule and risk control.
  • Skilled in Hybrid delivery, blending upfront planning with iterative practices to meet governance needs while enabling adaptability and incremental value.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities in a matrix environment
  • Able to build relationships and manage multiple external vendors with the focus on integration of vendor solutions with internal ecosystems of processes and technologies
  • Possesses strong communication and influencing skills
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

  • Developing and executing on a plan with key achievements and clear deliverables and timelines
  • Day to day Scrum Master responsibilities to distributed Agile delivery teams
  • Champion Agile values across the organization
  • Project Resource Management, tracking of work progress and project financials
  • Business Readiness Planning / Deployment / Transition to Operations
  • Managing project risk throughout the project lifecycle
  • Working and presenting with senior management and C-level executives and clients
