About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Facility Operations, the Project Manager, Facility Operations is responsible for a variety of initiatives overseen by the Facilities team. The team is seeking a PM who has knowledge and expertise implementing mechanical/electrical systems and equipment projects. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing the FCAP database / keeping Healthcare Infrastructure Renewal Fund information updated. The Project Manager will interact with the Executive Leadership Team, Clinical, Operational and Physician Leaders across the organization. Requirements

  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to tailor communications to specific audiences
  • Critical thinking and time management skills
  • The ability to forecast and manage project costs
  • Must possess a Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Must either have or be willing to obtain a Project Management Professional Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (I.C.I.) sector, with preferred experience in a healthcare environment
  • Working knowledge of design and construction as an Owner’s representative, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Able to work with a variety of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management principles and processes
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35
  • Must be able to perform all necessary bona fide duties for the position, as outlined in the position guide.
  • Must review and be capable of performing duties as outlined in the Job Demands Analysis for the position as a condition of offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in either mechanical or electrical infrastructure is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Leads the planning and implementation of projects at Southlake
  • Manages a variety of projects through various stages of the project life cycle, from inception to completion
  • Manages and controls the time, cost and quality on projects
  • Manages internal and external indirect reports on assigned projects
  • Develops efficient and effective plans including accountability for deliverables and coordination of all aspects of a project
  • Provides subject matter expertise to interface hospital operations with projects including acting as support for operational readiness planning and implementation
  • Works full-time on-site to effectively manage construction sites including promptly responding to unexpected issues, and collaborating with the Facility Operations team and various hospital stakeholders
