About The Position

The Project Manager/Estimator role involves managing all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, alongside leading estimating efforts for both negotiated and competitive work. This position requires a blend of project management and estimating skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality. The role offers the opportunity for growth into a key long-term leadership position within the company and may involve overseeing multiple projects and estimates concurrently.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Experience in construction estimating.
  • Proficiency in preparing quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
  • Ability to obtain and review subcontractor bids.
  • Skill in developing proposals.
  • Knowledge of project schedules, budgets, job costs, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to serve as a primary point of contact.
  • Ability to lead project meetings.
  • Willingness to conduct regular jobsite visits.
  • Coordination skills with superintendents.
  • Risk management capabilities.
  • Client relationship management skills.
  • Commitment to delivering projects safely, profitably, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and estimates simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal field staff.
  • Lead project meetings.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits.
  • Coordinate closely with superintendents.
  • Proactively manage risk.
  • Maintain client relationships.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Oversee multiple projects and estimates simultaneously.
