About The Position

United Contractor Services is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager to manage Division 8 and Division 10 scopes from initial bid through project closeout. The role combines estimating with project execution: the successful candidate prices the work and, when awarded, manages it through procurement, coordination, installation, and closeout. Division 8—doors, frames, and finish hardware—is the priority and focus of most of the work. The position requires close attention to schedules, specifications, and hardware sets, including identifying discrepancies before they affect the jobsite. Division 8 work includes hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, aluminum entrances, finish hardware, and related accessories. The role writes and reviews hardware sets and door schedules against architectural drawings, elevations, and specifications, verifies applicable listing, fire-rating, accessibility, and life-safety requirements, and coordinates electrified hardware and access-control requirements. Division 10 work includes toilet partitions, washroom accessories, lockers, fire extinguishers and cabinets, corner guards and wall protection, signage, and related specialty items. The position prepares accurate takeoffs; obtains and compares vendor and manufacturer pricing; identifies and substantiates value-engineering options; and assembles proposals with clear scope language, inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions. For awarded projects, the role leads buyout and procurement, manages submittals and approvals, tracks lead times and material releases, serves as a primary contact for GC project teams, and coordinates deliveries, sequencing, and installation with field installers and superintendents. The role also manages RFIs, change orders, and pay applications and completes project closeout documentation and turnover. This position is based out of United Contractor Services’ Kennesaw, Georgia office. The company offers competitive pay, a full benefits package, and a clear path forward. Candidates receiving an offer must undergo a drug test and background check in accordance with applicable laws.
