Project Manager / Estimator – Commercial Electrical & Residential Location: HQ Hanover MD Company: Critical Peake Electrical Services Join a Team That Powers Excellence. What You’ll Do As a Project Manager/Estimator, you’ll oversee electrical projects ranging from new residential builds to commercial installations and renovations. You’ll manage all phases—from estimating and pre-construction through completion—ensuring that every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and on budget while maintaining strong relationships with builders, contractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for residential new construction and commercial electrical projects. Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. Oversee multiple job sites across Maryland and DC area to ensure quality, safety, and code compliance. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain workflow and communication. Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and scope changes. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and verify project requirements. Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management. Evaluate completed projects for lessons learned and process improvements. Mentor and coach junior team members to support professional development. Ideally, bring a network of builder and client relationships, along with qualified electricians, to help grow our residential and commercial presence in the region. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience managing electrical projects, including commercial and residential work. Strong estimating experience with a proven ability to prepare detailed bids and takeoffs. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with project management and estimating software. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, layouts, and construction practices. PMP or similar certification preferred.
