About The Position

The Project Manager/Equipment Engineering Installation is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing multiple semiconductor capital equipment installation projects simultaneously. This role involves developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, coordinating activities between various departments and external suppliers, and ensuring projects meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. The position requires proactive identification of risks and resource constraints, support for standardized project execution methodologies, and holding stakeholders accountable for commitments. The role also involves daily execution coordination, risk and issue management, and serving as a primary communication link for project stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager will support long-range capital planning and assist in developing scalable project management processes for future expansions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Military technical leadership experience with demonstrated project execution responsibilities and a bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Equivalent combination of technical education, military training, and directly related semiconductor capital project experience.
• Minimum of nine (9) years of experience managing capital equipment installations, engineering projects, manufacturing operations, industrial construction, or semiconductor capital projects.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience coordinating OEM suppliers, contractors, engineering organizations, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules.
• Experience supporting equipment commissioning, startup, and production readiness.
• Strong project planning and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to identify execution risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, equipment layouts, and installation documentation.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and facility utility systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and project reporting tools.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
• Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
• Frequent movement between engineering offices, manufacturing areas, equipment installation sites, and contractor work locations.
• Required use of appropriate cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment.
• Ability to perform extended field walkdowns within manufacturing and construction environments.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated work platforms as required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively during field coordination and executive meetings.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple semiconductor capital equipment installation projects simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules from project release through production turnover.
• Coordinate project activities between Equipment Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, OEM suppliers, contractors, EHS, and supporting organizations.
• Ensure projects remain aligned with safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, resource constraints, and schedule impacts.
• Support development and implementation of standardized project execution methodologies across the organization.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using established project management tools.
• Monitor schedule performance against established milestones and critical path activities.
• Coordinate project priorities and resource loading across multiple concurrent installations.
• Develop schedule recovery plans when required.
• Prepare weekly project status reports and executive-level schedule updates.
• Maintain project dashboards and key performance indicators.
• Challenge schedule assumptions and identify potential execution gaps before they impact project success.
• Hold Equipment Engineering leadership, Installation Engineers, OEM suppliers, contractors, Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing, and supporting organizations accountable for agreed-upon commitments and execution timelines.
• Provide objective reporting of project health, identifying schedule variances, resource constraints, and execution risks.
• Escalate unresolved issues and missed commitments with recommended recovery plans.
• Facilitate action item closure through regular follow-up and verification.
• Ensure accountability remains transparent, measurable, and consistently communicated across the project team.
• Lead weekly installation coordination meetings and project execution reviews.
• Verify work sequencing supports efficient installation and commissioning activities.
• Monitor contractor productivity and installation progress.
• Identify execution barriers and coordinate timely resolution.
• Support production readiness and equipment turnover activities.
• Identify technical, logistical, schedule, and resource risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Develop mitigation strategies with Engineering and project stakeholders.
• Maintain project risk and issue logs.
• Coordinate cross-functional issue resolution.
• Support leadership with data-driven recommendations for project recovery and resource allocation.
• Serve as the primary communication link between Equipment Engineering leadership and project stakeholders.
• Facilitate project coordination meetings and executive status reviews.
• Prepare concise project summaries, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Build collaborative relationships across Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, OEM suppliers, and contractors.
• Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Support long-range capital equipment planning and execution strategies.
• Capture lessons learned and implemented standardized best practices.
• Assist in developing scalable project management processes supporting Sherman, , and future manufacturing expansions.
• Develop project execution standards that transition into long-term EES capital program management.
