Position Overview Flow Control Group is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Project Manager / Engineer to join our team. This unique role requires a dynamic professional who possesses a comprehensive understanding of all brands and technology groups owned by Flow Control Group. As a Project Manager / Engineer, you will serve as a vital technical and organizational bridge across the FCG ecosystem. You will work closely with leadership across our distinct brands to streamline engineering solutions, ensure project alignment, and drive growth. On a daily basis, you will collaborate with Senior Estimators, Inside Sales Representatives, and Strategic Account Managers to take complex technical projects from initial estimation through execution and delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the industrial flow control, fluid handling, valve automation, or instrumentation industry is strictly required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent specialized industry experience).
  • Strong working knowledge of various flow control technologies, equipment, and industry applications.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with executive leadership, sales teams, estimators, and external clients.
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple technical projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and engineering problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail in technical specifications and commercial estimations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the specific product lines and markets served by Flow Control Group brands is highly preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an in-depth, comprehensive knowledge of all FCG brands, products, and technology groups.
  • Identify cross-brand opportunities to create comprehensive flow control solutions for customers.
  • Partner daily with Inside Sales Representatives, Senior Estimators, and Strategic Account Managers to evaluate project scopes, review engineering specifications, and ensure technical alignment on high-value accounts.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.
  • Manage project financials, enforce cost controls, and protect gross margins.
  • Identify and capture out-of-scope requests early, executing change orders and ensuring all budget modifications are fully documented, approved, and integrated into the billing process.
  • Work closely with brand leadership to align project strategies with broader corporate initiatives, managing communication across multiple internal organizational structures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on flow control technologies (valves, automation, pumps, instrumentation), providing technical support during the bidding and proposal phase.
  • Review technical drawings, data sheets, and project documentation to mitigate risk, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain the integrity of delivered solutions.
