Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required
Five (5)+ years of Development & Construction experience required
Strategic thinker who can also understand tactical delivery of analysis as needed
Track record of delivering high-impact results year-over-year
Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills
Organizational skills
Ability to manage all financial aspects of design/construction
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with individuals at all levels
Ability to operate professionally, effectively and ethically as an individual contributor, member of a team, and leader of a team
Ability to influence and gain acceptance and approval of ideas, proposals, and solutions
Solid ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
Excellent leadership skills including ability to prioritize critical needs, and handle a high volume of complex tasks within a given timeframe
Self-motivated, with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervision
Highly developed project management skills
Ability to effectively communicate between the store team, internal team, contractors, and vendors

Responsibilities

Manages new store AND/OR remodel construction projects
Travels to job sites regularly to check progress, overall workmanship, and verifies that project is on schedule
Oversees processing of all pay applications, change order requests for information related to the design and construction of projects
Reviews paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and supporting documentation
Returns inaccurate or incomplete pay applications and change order requests for revision/resubmittal
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of overnight remodels and minor capital projects
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including store directors, to minimize disruption to store operations
Manages communication between vendors, contractors, and Academy
Learns and enforces company policies and procedures
Learns and enforces company safety rules
Duties may change; Team Member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
