About The Position

Pramira Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead Southern California fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and outside plant (OSP) construction projects from preconstruction through closeout and final customer acceptance. The Project Manager serves as the general contractor’s key coordinator among internal teams, field crews, subcontractors, clients, utilities, agencies, inspectors, and other stakeholders. The role owns project scope, cost, schedule, field production, quality, safety coordination, and closeout, with responsibility for aligning estimating, field execution, and financial performance. The position turns awarded scopes into executable budgets, procurement and subcontract packages, schedules, and weekly work plans. It coordinates work readiness, permitting, access, materials, inspections, utility coordination, and field resources. The Project Manager manages microtrenching, directional boring, and aerial OSP construction, and coordinates associated installation, restoration, inspection, and acceptance activities. The role also maintains job-cost forecasts and project documentation, manages change orders and billing, supports safe field execution, and coordinates fiber installation, testing, customer turnover, and complete closeout packages. The role requires at least five years of construction project management experience in fiber, telecommunications, underground utilities, or comparable civil infrastructure, including successful FTTH project delivery. Regular travel to assigned sites and occasional evening or weekend work may be required when permitted construction windows call for it. The listed annual pay range is $85,000–$95,000, depending on experience.

  • Ability to read construction drawings, permit conditions, unit-price schedules, and contract scopes.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with scheduling or construction management software.
  • Working knowledge of Southern California right-of-way and encroachment permitting, utility coordination, and applicable Cal/OSHA, pole-owner, and CPUC GO 95 and GO 128 requirements.
  • Ability to travel regularly to assigned sites and work occasional evenings or weekends when permitted construction windows require it.

  • Turn awarded scopes into executable budgets, purchase and subcontract packages, schedules, and weekly work plans.
  • Confirm permits, site access, materials, inspections, and utility coordination before releasing work.
  • Lead two-week lookahead planning with site superintendents and field operations; identify constraints, remove roadblocks, coordinate trades, and ensure upcoming work is resourced and ready.
  • Develop, maintain, and present construction schedules with accurate sequencing, resource planning, and clear communication of timelines.
  • Conduct weekly client-facing meetings and provide updates on schedule, budget, risks, progress, and project accountability.
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, labor production, cost-to-complete projections, and monthly forecasts for subcontractors, materials, and labor hours.
