About The Position

The Construction Project Manager schedules, coordinates, monitors, evaluates, and reports on assigned public works projects. The role oversees projects to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, department and division policies and procedures, and state procurement laws. It involves data collection, analytics, document review, written and verbal communication, and prioritizing tasks. The position also provides technical assistance in assessing the feasibility of construction and renovation projects, develops and monitors project budgets, and approves expenditures. This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards. Qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee construction projects to ensure compliance with state laws and department and division policies and procedures.
Provide technical assistance in defining and determining the feasibility of construction and renovation projects.
Develop construction project budgets and approve expenditures.
Provide technical input into the development of project specifications and drawings.
Oversee contract bidding to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and state bidding laws.
Select and recommend approval of professional services.
Review, approve, and coordinate payment of services and change orders.
Conduct site inspections to determine contractual compliance and ensure safety and conformance to project plans.
Serve as a liaison among parties involved in construction, renovation, and maintenance throughout all project phases, and resolve on-site problems.
Coordinate processing of construction documents and maintain project records.
Coordinate construction project activities with agency staff, architects, consulting engineers, planners, and other professionals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
