About The Position

The Project Manager, Construction is responsible for executing day-to-day construction operations and managing external consultants to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of construction projects consistent with the approved scope of work. The Project Manager is hands-on in all phases of project delivery, manages daily communications with internal and external partners, and collaborates with team members to produce an exceptional level of construction quality. The position requires developing strong working relationships with various departments, taking full ownership of assigned projects, and supporting continuous process improvements.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience in store development and construction on a variety of retail projects.
  • Solid construction competence and practical expertise in retail environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent client service.
  • Experience in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and operate independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to maximize productivity through effective time management while promoting teamwork and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work with a nationwide team of professionals.
  • Good financial management and project tracking skills.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, budgets, and detailed work plans.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all departmental stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with internal and external partners, contractors, architects, designers, and engineering/specialty consultants.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements.
  • Coordinate with project construction teams and monitor the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Review monthly budget updates and coordinate action items to keep construction costs within established budgets.
  • Ensure project cost accounting is documented correctly and maintain clear, organized records of all assigned projects.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
