About The Position

VRX is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Construction Manager to oversee the plumbing construction scope of a major data center development project valued at approximately $100 million. The role has direct responsibility for approximately $7 million in plumbing construction activities and manages delivery from planning through completion. The selected candidate will coordinate project stakeholders and trades, oversee field operations and subcontractors, and manage schedules, costs, quality, safety, inspections, and closeout. The assignment is expected to last approximately 12 months and is anticipated to begin in December 2026 or January 2027. It requires full-time, on-site presence throughout the project. Plumbing, MEP, or data center experience is preferred but not required; strong construction management expertise and a track record of delivering complex projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget are emphasized. Compensation is competitive and based on qualifications and experience, with details to be discussed during recruitment.

Requirements

10–15 years of construction project management or construction management experience.
Proven experience successfully managing large-scale or complex construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate construction activities.
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Experience managing project costs, schedules, contracts, and field operations.
Ability to work full-time on-site throughout the project duration.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing plumbing or MEP construction projects.
Previous experience with data centers, industrial facilities, commercial developments, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
OSHA safety training or relevant construction certifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
PMP or CCM certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily construction activities associated with the plumbing scope.
Manage construction phases, including planning, scheduling, execution, inspections, and project closeout.
Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders.
Ensure construction complies with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable building codes.
Identify project risks, resolve field challenges, and implement corrective actions.
Develop, monitor, and maintain construction schedules to achieve project milestones.
Oversee the approximately $7 million plumbing construction budget and monitor costs, labor productivity, material procurement, and resource allocation.
Review change orders, subcontractor progress, and payment applications.
Provide project status updates and progress reports to senior management.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, and construction operations.
Conduct site meetings and monitor construction progress.
Coordinate plumbing installations with mechanical, electrical, structural, and other construction trades.
Maintain communication between project management teams and field operations.
Resolve construction conflicts and scheduling issues in a timely manner.
Ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety procedures.
Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning support, and project closeout activities.
Promote a safe, productive, and organized construction environment.
