About The Position

The CTE Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and completion of classroom remodels, new construction projects, and maintenance agreements across multiple career and technical education programs. This role ensures projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining strong partnerships with instructors, contractors, and district administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field.
  • Five years of experience in building construction, renovations and construction management; OR Nine years of experience in building construction, renovations and construction management.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, State and City building and fire codes and regulations.
  • Proficient using word processing, database, spreadsheet programs and project software programs.
  • Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
  • Must hold a current Arizona Driver’s license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification or equivalent safety training
  • Experience working in K-12 education or CTE environments
  • Knowledge of career and technical education program requirements
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Familiarity with equipment used in CTE industrial programs
  • Budget forecasting and financial management experience

Responsibilities

  • Administers professional and construction contracts to ensure all TUSD buildings are constructed safely and are functional.
  • Oversees the planning, coordination, and completion of classroom remodels, new construction projects, and maintenance agreements across multiple career and technical education programs.
  • Ensures projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Maintains strong partnerships with instructors, contractors, and district administration.
