About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial electrical construction projects within a self-perform electrical contractor environment. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role managing projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will work closely with field teams, general contractors, and internal departments to deliver large, complex healthcare and institutional projects on time and within budget. This role offers strong internal support from estimating, BIM, and leadership teams, while still requiring ownership of project performance and profitability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial electrical project management experience
• Background with an electrical contractor (not general contractor-only or residential)
• Strong understanding of full project lifecycle (scheduling, change orders, field coordination, GC interaction)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Proven project ownership and execution experience (not just coordination roles)

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing projects in the $3M–$15M+ range preferred
• Experience with healthcare, hospital, university, or institutional projects is a strong plus
• Experience with Bluebeam, AcuBid, or similar tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through completion
• Manage field execution, coordinating electricians, foremen, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Work directly with general contractors, inspectors, and stakeholders to drive schedules and resolve issues
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specs, and construction documents
• Oversee project schedules, RFIs, change orders, and cost tracking
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams on scope alignment and project setup
• Partner with BIM teams to ensure design intent translates into field execution
• Monitor project profitability, identify risks, and implement solutions
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting in internal systems
