About The Position

Trueline is seeking a Project Manager, Civil Engineering & Public Works to join their team in Anaheim, CA. This is a visible, client-facing leadership role overseeing roadway and public works projects from design through delivery, with strong long-term upside for someone who wants to grow into a senior leadership seat at a stable, relationship-driven firm. The firm publicly describes itself as a full-service consulting practice founded in 2004 that supports public agency work across project management, civil engineering, construction management, inspection, plan-checking, and related services, with an Anaheim office and a strong emphasis on quality, responsiveness, and long-term relationships.

Requirements

  • Active California PE license with the ability to stamp plans
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience
  • Strong background in public works or municipal infrastructure projects
  • Proven roadway project experience, including work such as paving, widening, sidewalks, curb ramps, and ADA-related improvements
  • Experience managing several projects at once in different phases
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, or a comparable CAD background with the ability to get up to speed quickly
  • Confidence in a client-facing role with public agency stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organization, and project ownership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with municipal clients, city engineers, or public works departments
  • Familiarity with Caltrans standards, Greenbook requirements, and local agency review processes
  • Experience with QA/QC practices for public works design
  • Comfort with project tracking tools and modern workflow systems
  • Background in a consulting environment serving public agencies
  • Interest in mentoring others and growing into broader team leadership

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple active public works and roadway projects through planning, design, coordination, and delivery
  • Manage schedules, budgets, milestones, and client expectations across concurrent municipal assignments
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for city, county, and other public agency clients
  • Review engineering plans, design packages, and project deliverables for quality and compliance
  • Guide engineers and designers working in Civil 3D and support strong internal execution
  • Coordinate across internal teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders to keep projects moving
  • Build trust-based client relationships that support repeat work and long-term partnerships
  • Help strengthen project management processes while contributing to the growth of the engineering group
