About The Position

This role provides technical support and leadership for construction teams in the Tennessee area, overseeing transportation projects from pre-construction to final acceptance. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to contract documents, budget, and schedules through robust document controls, quality assurance, stakeholder communication, and participation in progress meetings. Collaboration with regional leadership and corporate functions is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum ten years of construction inspection experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and leadership for construction teams in the Tennessee area for transportation projects.
  • Ensure projects adhere to contract documents, budget constraints, and schedules.
  • Implement sound document controls and internal quality assurance measures.
  • Lead communications between project stakeholders and participate in progress meetings.
  • Collaborate with other regional leadership and support corporate functions.
  • Guide regional Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) teams in executing Department of Transportation and municipal projects.
  • Deliver direction in the implementation of Consor’s corporate procedures and policies.
  • Serve as project executive on multiple projects and provide guidance to project staff.
  • Perform monthly CPM schedule review and approval.
  • Communicate directly with owner representatives and the project contractor community to strategize complex operations and resolve contract challenges.
  • Manage administrative staff in the preparation of all documentation for final estimate submission.
