About The Position

Pivotal Consulting is a technology management consulting firm that helps Fortune 500 companies improve their performance by specializing in making People, Process, and Technology work together. They assist clients with business and technology strategy, technology modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives. The firm is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a professional to help maintain their quality of work. The project involves a leading dental insurance provider aiming to create a consistent user experience across their SharePoint Online environment within Microsoft 365. The team will be responsible for designing a new architecture, migrating data, configuring hubs and navigation, implementing modern features, and developing a communication plan with stakeholder training.

Requirements

  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • 4+ years of consulting experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on project management experience, including the use of a formal project management framework, tools, and processes.
  • SME in project management (Agile and/or Waterfall).
  • Demonstrated success creating project plans, forecasting/scheduling, communicating with stakeholders, and managing project team members.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and drive results.
  • Able to enter a new subject area and quickly ramp up, adapt to change, and stay ahead of business needs through proactive learning, critical thinking, and intuitive questioning.
  • Seeks out stakeholder perspectives and incorporates them into delivered results.
  • Capable of receiving and providing direct feedback.
  • Constantly seeks and acts on improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the success of others.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, including English language mastery.
  • Adept in SharePoint, Project, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with SharePoint Online.
  • Able to balance time between Business Analyst and Project Management tasks.
  • Excellent at documentation.
  • Not afraid to escalate risks or ask for help.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a business analyst leading functional design sessions, documenting fit gap analysis, analyzing and creating process flows, and working with SMEs to validate functional requirements.
  • Change Management certification (Prosci methodology) or related experience.
  • Certificates in PMP/PMI and Microsoft Project or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) and/or experience in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly status reports, client syncs, and budget reporting.
  • Escalate risks and issues to the Pivotal Engagement Manager.
  • Manage expectations and deadlines throughout the project.
  • Create communications, determining appropriate methods, senders, and cadences.
  • Work with the client to establish a feedback mechanism.
  • Analyze, develop, and define recommendations for client business and technology projects.
  • Perform As-Is, To-Be, and gap analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish client requests from underlying needs.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including tracking technical deliverables, milestone completion, administration, change management, and successful execution.
  • Prepare solutions with risk identification and financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI).
  • Manage multiple projects, accurately estimate work effort, and manage client expectations.
  • Deliver business requirement documents (BRD), functional specification documents (FSD), process flow maps, use cases, implementation plans, and status reports.
