About The Position

This role involves supervisory duties, including planning, assigning, and directing work, coaching and appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. The position requires a strong understanding of HVAC and Building Automation systems, construction project management, billing processes, and budgeting principles. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to empathize and creatively resolve issues to ensure customer and employee satisfaction. A clean driving record is also required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HVAC and/or Building Automation and Project Management experience
  • 3+ years of Construction Project Management experience or related field
  • Proficient in interpreting and managing billing processes, including understanding schedules of values
  • Strong grasp of budgeting principles, including budget development, tracking, and forecasting
  • An understanding of basic computer operating systems
  • The ability to configure and debug basic computer problems
  • Clear and concise ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • An ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction
  • Clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year technical degree in Electronics or equivalent experience/training
  • 5+ years of HVAC and/or Building Automation and Project Management experience
  • 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience or related field
  • Some experience with programming
  • A clear ability to work with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • The ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams
  • A working understanding of AC power circuitry including breakers, multi-phase power, etc. (120VAC and greater)
  • Deep understanding of DDC or special systems that control buildings (for Level 2 and Senior Project Managers)
  • Understanding of other systems involved in the mechanical and electrical portions of building controls (for Level 2 and Senior Project Managers)
  • Experience to provide extensive integration support for a multitude of building systems (for Level 2 and Senior Project Managers)
  • PMP certification
