About The Position

At Boston Scientific, we are seeking a Project Manager, Acquisitions, and Integrations, to join the Boston Scientific Global Supply Chain Acquisitions and Integrations team. In this role you will lead projects across many aspects of acquisition integration. This may include Manufacturing, Core Systems, Materials, Packaging & Labelling, Order-to-Cash/Distribution, and other Integration program elements. Project size and scope can vary and are based on the needs of the acquisition. Projects can span multiple divisions and regions and can vary in duration from a few months to multiple years. This is an excellent development opportunity for a candidate looking to expand their experiences and relationships at BSC, offering exposure to a number of functions and areas of cross-functional interaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 8+ years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience, including managing projects.
  • Open to relocation to acquired entity location and/or willing to travel 25% or greater, domestic, or international, based on integration needs.
  • Strong organization, execution, and communication skills will be required, as well as a demonstrated ability to lead and work together with a cross-functional team.
  • Comfort operating in the grey. The ideal candidate thrives on taking unclear and ambiguous problems to create clarity, purpose, and clear goals for a project team to execute.
  • Candidate must be comfortable in front of all levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Medical devices or other regulated industry experience an advantage.
  • Previous acquisition integration experience would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience with larger scale projects, either as project lead or team member
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of experience working in BSC supply chain and logistics (planning, production, engineering, distribution).

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects assigned to you, determine project objectives and deliverables, and ensure project achievement.
  • Lead detailed project planning workshops and participate in program level planning workshops.
  • Flexibility to lead projects across a range of aspects of acquisition integration, supported by a high level of learning agility and strong project leadership even in areas where you may not have deep technical expertise.
  • Utilize appropriate project management methodology and tools (project schedule with critical path, stakeholder management plan, decision log, risk matrix, terms, and conditions, etc.).
  • Effectively communicate project expectations, deliverables, and status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to the success of the project.
  • Facilitate problem solving sessions to resolve unknown and open decisions.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area they support.
  • Perform project closure activities, conduct project post-mortems, and translate lessons learned into process improvements.
  • Identify and proactively improve existing PM tools and business processes.
  • Provide clear expectations to and mentor Project Specialists and/or other roles assigned to support you and your project(s).
  • Be an ambassador of Boston Scientific Culture.
