About The Position

This role partners to find and create solutions that meet the divinely appointed responsibilities of the Church. The Project Manager fosters an environment of trust and unity, building upon each other's strengths and ideas to create effective products and deliver timely communication. The purpose of this role is to clearly understand and communicate project objectives and goals, organize the needed resources to meet project requirements, own project-level scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure projects adhere to Church process and policy. The Project Manager acts as a project generalist, potentially managing a range of project types (e.g., web, mobile, meeting support, production, etc.) and engages when multiple deliverables coalesce into a cohesive whole and end-to-end management is needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a project management related field with publishing, video, or event production experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget of projects that are typically of medium to large scale complexity, with many deliverables in multiple languages including contracts, logistics, vendors, intellectual property, and deliverables that involve production and publishing.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with senior-level leaders.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership of cross-functional teams serving as a key liaison between leaders, vendors, production companies, and internal department stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification or other project management certification recognized in specific industries.

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Management: Understands, coordinates, and manages client and resource team expectations.
  • Integration Management: Plans, directs, manages, monitors, controls, and closes projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Scope Management: Uses standard processes to ensure projects/programs include all and only the work required to complete the project successfully.
  • Schedule Management: Uses standard processes to ensure the timely completion of projects.
  • Cost Management: Uses standard processes to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget.
  • Quality Management: Uses standard processes to ensure the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken.
  • Human Resource Management: Uses personal skills and standard processes to make the most effective use of the project team.
  • Communications Management: Uses standard processes to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information. Provides the critical links among people (including senior-level leaders), ideas, and information that are necessary for success.
  • Risk Management: Uses standard process to identify, analyze, and respond to project risk.
  • Procurement Management: Uses standard processes to acquire goods and services from providers.
