About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal OR Sr. Principal Project Management to join our team in Melbourne, FL. This position will be responsible for managing CAM networks associated with Supplier MRB on a classified program. Applicants will need extensive experience working with EVM to include the ability to obtain CAM certification/qualification. This position can be filled at the Principal Project Management level or the Senior Principal Project Management level, depending upon the qualifications below.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience in project management OR Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience in project management (for Principal Project Management).
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years’ experience in project management, OR Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience in project management (for Sr. Principal Project Management).
  • Ability to obtain CAM certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data
  • Understanding and application of Program Management principles
  • A current active US Government Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP/PAR clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
