About The Position

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. LHA program management of critical mechanical systems production/qualifications shipboard and with suppliers. Supports all ongoing LHA new construction ships and advance planning & early projects for any future ship construction contracts. Lead contract documents/specifications problem resolutions such as condition reports, admin packages, waivers/deviations. Leadership role leading, problem solving and presenting to the Government customer. Critical to this positions success is the ability to review critical supplier schedules, progress reports & participate in weekly progress meetings, develop analysis of alternatives during problem solving, make and recommend programmatic decisions, technical writing, and ability to write program directives, etc.

Requirements

  • 6 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 4 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree OR 14yrs work experience in a related field with HS Diploma/GED.
