About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Mid-Level Project Management Specialist to join the Boeing Rapid Space Capabilities Program Management team in Albuquerque, NM. This Project Management Specialist will work with a multidisciplinary team supporting design, build, operations and maintenance of mission support facilities. The selected candidate will be a key team member supporting design and construction, project management and critical infrastructure operations and maintenance. In this role, you will work directly with industry-leading design-build partners to establish and maintain advanced mission support facilities. Clear and concise, written and oral communication of complex subjects to Boeing leadership and customer program management is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 1+ years’ experience in program or project management
  • 1+ years’ experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

  • Level 2: 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining Earned Value baselines and status to plan
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager

  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives
  • Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, Milestones, Open Plan Professional, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Supports preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or construction project requirements and statement of work in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Participates in maintaining, analyzing and producing Construction Earned Value Management System (EVMS) metrics related to plans.
  • Assists more experienced personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plan and refining the business case.
  • Develops, collects, organizes and provides data, updates task, to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
  • Coordinates document work statements and resulting schedules.
  • Assists with conducting 30/60/90% design reviews and produces briefings at each stage for the customer.
  • Performs configuration audits as required.
  • Coordinates with base host to ensure all project personnel are credentialed to enter a controlled worksite.
  • Identifies and provide reports on performance variances, project status, and changes information to project team.
  • Communicates plan changes and recovery plans to ensure commitment to stakeholders.
