About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Project Management Planner to support the PM group in effectively building and managing the Maximo workload database for approved operational projects. This role is primarily responsible for monitoring PM project resources across various PM groups and assisting their integration at the overall PM group level. The Planner will provide technical expertise to PM directors regarding their group resources, review available versus required resources at a cost center level, and analyze their impact across the program of projects. This position will collaborate with the workload planning group to establish consistent reporting standards and templates, working closely with PM Directors to provide updates and solutions for improved cost center performance.

Requirements

  • Excellent ability to utilize Excel as a detailed analysis tool.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including the ability to create pivot tables to manipulate raw data.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to distill large sets of data into an easily understandable and communicable format.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S) in Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in project management or project controls with demonstrated experience in resource planning and management.
  • Significant experience managing projects or conducting analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the project planning of project work.
  • Working knowledge of Maximo, Primavera P6, SAP and MS Project.
  • Experience at a Utility company working in the area of Maximo systems.
  • Project Management Professional certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide monthly PM resource analysis, including current resource variance, resource forecasting, and expected overallocations.
  • Work with PM discipline directors to identify resource constraints and ensure they are incorporated into the resource workload.
  • Establish and maintain a master resource plan for the yearly PM workload.
  • Onboard new resources, including related craft and group codes, in Maximo.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as required.
