About The Position

The Project Management Officer (PMO) is a strategic leader responsible for high-level project planning, resource management, and cross-departmental collaboration. By providing structure and oversight to the project management process, the PMO ensures that projects are planned, resourced, and executed effectively, bridging the gap between Project Managers and the rest of the company. This role manages critical PMO systems, supports resource allocation, and engages in strategic communication efforts, training initiatives, and leadership meetings to drive continuous improvements in project management practices.

  • Agile Certified Practitioner preferred (or proven experience)
  • Advanced proficiency in PM tools (Microsoft Planner, Azure DevOps, Excel, or equivalent platforms).
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Project management, or related
  • 3–5+ years of managing projects directly, project program coordination, managing enterprise-level projects
  • Strong understanding and proven experience in agile, scrum, traditional, and hybrid methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Monitor team capacity and support efficient workload distribution
  • Oversee cross departmental collaboration to ensure successful project execution
  • Prepare and present executive level project reports and status updates
  • Support Project Managers by providing guidance, oversight, and operational assistance
  • Maintain project databases, reporting tools, and project management systems
  • Manage and monitor project related support tickets and process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in requirements gathering and project discovery activities
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospective meetings
  • Support project closure activities and ensure proper documentation of completed work
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and communication strategies
  • Facilitate leadership meetings, planning sessions, and project review meetings
  • Develop, maintain, and update project management policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Serve as a backup resource for Project Managers when needed
  • Maintain project calendars, planning schedules, and organizational reporting hubs
  • Analyze opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate project intake meetings, planning sessions, and alignment meetings with stakeholders
  • Lead project planning, governance, and resource allocation activities across multiple initiatives
  • Assign Project Manager support based on project requirements and team capacity
  • Maintain project management templates, documentation, and governance standards
  • Manage project resources and support automation processes for team and project setup
  • Monitor project progress, timelines, risks, and deliverables
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings and stakeholder communications
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve project workflows and system integrations
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to maintain high standards of deliverable quality
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions related to project management practices and procedures
