About The Position

Summer 2026 Project Management Internship Parsons is now accepting applications for our Summer 2026 Project Management Internship program in the Los Alamos, NM area! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse, world-class team on capital line-item infrastructure projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), where Parsons has proudly provided owner’s agent, project, and construction management services for over 12 years. Gain hands-on experience and develop project management skills as you support the team on large ongoing projects that are improving and modernizing infrastructure, updating facilities to current codes and standards, and contributing to the overall mission at LANL and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Project Management, Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical/Nuclear Engineering, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
  • Relevant coursework in project management, construction management, project controls, or infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot).
  • Familiarity with project management and documentation systems.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in project management/construction management.
  • Strong customer service skills, organizational skills, problem solving, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to uphold the Laboratory's mission, vision, culture, and values
  • None Security Clearance Requirement

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to building codes and design/construction standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, and status updates for the project team.
  • Assist Project and Construction Managers in day-to-day oversight and owner’s agent support services.
  • Help develop briefing, reporting, and/or other project documentation materials.
  • May participate in field inspections, quality assurance reviews, and other documentation reviews, including designs.
  • Learning about and reference DOE Order 413.3B and related guidance documents which are used by federal project directors and support contractors for management of capital projects.
  • Gain exposure to risk management and specialty equipment fabrication.
